In a nail-biter, Morristown High’s football varsity survived a heroic comeback by Mendham and emerged with a 34-28 overtime victory on Saturday to boost its record to 3-2.

Sophomore Drew Chilson had a big day for the Colonials, rushing for 151 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winner.

Mendham trailed by 28 points with less than 10 minutes remaining, when Minutemen quarterback Danny McHugh went to work, tossing three TDs and running for a fourth that forced overtime.

The Colonials are at home against West Morris Central on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015.
